So, we are saved and justified 100% by God’s grace. Does that then mean that the Christian life is 0% us – do we just sit there, like a bowl of cold porridge? If so, who would want that? There’s nothing attractive about it.
No! Grace is not just a teaching or a doctrine, but a person, Jesus Christ. He loves us, calls us continually into relationship with Him, fills us with the Holy Spirit, shares His life, all that He has and all that he does with us and the world, and calls us to share our lives and all we have with Him and all other people.
Yes, Christian salvation and life are 100% by God’s grace and therefore, they are also 100% us; because Jesus shares 100% of His life with us and enables and commands us to participate 100% in everything that He is doing.
