Along with the Minister and Volunteers we attend our local nursing home, Estia Health Golden Grove, on the first Monday of the month at 2.00pm.
We sing very familiar Hymns, Bible Reading and serve Holy Communion.
After the Service we have a lovely time of fellowship in sharing afternoon tea and a chat with the residents.
During November we have a Memorial Service which is followed with the planting of a rose in the garden in memory of the residents that have died during the year. December is also a special time when we sing Christmas Carols which the residents are all very familiar with.
The Mission and Wider Work Committee is a committed and devoted group, working together to raise funds in a practical manner. These are distributed at the end of the year to various local and overseas charities.

Golden Grove Uniting Church continues to support our Sister Church in the Philippines in their HOPE ministry that seeks to help poor families afford the extra costs of their children’s education.
Although education is free and mandatory and State funded, the cost of education supplies, uniforms, text books, travel, etc. is beyond the means of many poor families and orphans.
We support such children and have done so since 2006. Several have graduated from High School & their younger siblings have taken their place.
