There was no other way for us to have life, and all the wonder of it, than to be born into it by our mothers. Only our mothers had what was required to make this happen. Consequently, we are all eternally grateful to them, and love them very much. Happy Mother’s Day to all mums out there!
Similarly, there is no other way for us to have all fullness of life than to be born into it by the grace of Jesus Christ (John 14:6). Only He has what is required to make this happen – i.e., the grace to deal with and remove our sin, to bring us into a new life, and to renew and fill heaven and earth forever. No other saviour or system could ever do this.
Our mothers also love us no matter what – another matter of great thankfulness! In the same vein, only magnifying this, the love of Jesus Christ is stunningly generous. All, any, who look to Him in faith and repentance, are received by Him, and receive all of His gifts. Jesus Christ is not exclusive but includes all.
We would never dream of wanting any other mother than our Mum! When we truly know Jesus Christ, we would never dream of wanting any other to give us fullness of life!
